The value of mentoring client staff or partnering with management personnel significantly enhances the value of our services. Having experience to quickly identify strengths and weakness in the accounting system, we assist management by providing learning opportunities for staff and often participate in strategic planning initiatives. We also find that involving client staff in the audit process or in solving day-to-day problems helps to reduce stress and quickly fosters an academic challenge for ambitious personnel. Together, we nurture basic accounting systems into fully productive informational resources. This builds confidence and enhances an organizations ability to face new challenges as they arise.
The Mercier Group is a full-service certified public accounting firm located in Canterbury, New Hampshire. Although, our primary practice is focused on serving the needs of smaller municipalities and related non-profit organizations, we also provide tax and consulting Services for small business enterprises. Using available technologies, we are able to provide our clients with on-line services as well as in house bookkeeping and payroll services, spread sheet solutions through Microsoft Office and assistance with a number of other software products.
The Mercier Group was incorporated on April 1, 1996 by Paul J. Mercier, Jr. CPA who previously served the audit needs of some 200 municipal and non-profit entities while an employee and shareholder of New Hampshire’s largest municipal audit firm. With significantly less administrative overhead and the greater use of available technologies our goal as a smaller organization is to devote this higher level of some 30 years experience to all areas of client service and to concentrate professional energies on the needs of our clients.
“Our challenge is to see each client become the kind of organization that others strive to emulate. Our success is to see that each small business client achieves its goals of financial independence and that each not-for-profit or governmental entity makes full use of its resources for program services. It is this level of participation that gives us the greatest opportunity to serve our clients and to push the envelope of our professional skills and interests.”
